Chris joined Troutman Strategies in 2013 and has more than a decade of experience working in government affairs across a wide range of policy topics, including health care, health information technology, food safety, tax, trade, and appropriations, among others.

In his current role, Chris develops legislative initiatives and political strategy and leads outreach and advocacy before Congress and federal agencies on behalf of Strategies’ clients. He advances client objectives by evaluating legislation, regulations, and grant opportunities and providing in-depth policy and strategic analysis. Chris works with Fortune 500 companies, health care and health information technology companies, institutions of higher education, multinational corporations, national nonprofits, agricultural groups, trade associations, and others.

Before joining Troutman Strategies, Chris gained experience in government relations on and off Capitol Hill. He served as a legal research assistant in the government affairs group at another law firm, focusing on agricultural and international trade issues, and as a research assistant in the Washington D.C. office of Senator Robert Menendez, where he covered banking and housing issues.
