Courtney has a background in both federal and international law. She represents clients in consumer law, business disputes, and commercial litigation.
Courtney is an associate in the firm's Consumer Financial Services practice. She recently graduated from Regent University School of Law, where she completed her J.D. and served as a notes and comments editor for the Regent Law Review. Prior to joining the firm, Courtney served as judicial law clerk to the Hon. Robert G. Doumar of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
While completing her law degree, Courtney was an extern in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office, as well as law clerk at the American Center for Law and Justice, and intern to Chief Judge Huff of The Court of Appeals of Virginia. Courtney also served as a legal extern while living in Kampala Uganda, where she worked with the now Ugandan Supreme Court Justice, Michael Chibita. Courtney received her bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Roberts Wesleyan College.
