Duma is an associate in the firm's Corporate practice. She possesses experience in a variety of matters, industries and areas of law, from public service to intellectual property rights protection to the ever-changing landscape involving right of publicity in sports law. Her deep understanding of complex, diverse matters help clients achieve their objectives, no matter the industry.
As a student practitioner certified by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Duma helped North Carolina-based small businesses, entrepreneurs, and educators protect their trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights and economic interests through the UNC Law Intellectual Property Clinic. Her experience as a legal extern for both UNC Athletics and Cypress Sports provided her with experience in sports governance, sports management, and sports employment and sponsorship contracts.
Duma graduated and received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as the student body president of the Student Bar Association. During her time at UNC Law, Duma also served as a Dean's fellow; a member of the UNC Law Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee; and an officer on the Law Alumni Association Board.
Prior to attending law school, Duma was a paralegal in the legal department of a national financial services provider.
