Gabby assists clients with both foreign and domestic patent matters, including patent drafting, prosecution, and appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. She supervises corresponding foreign prosecution, as well as incoming foreign priority applications from jurisdictions such as Europe, Korea, and Japan. Gabby also prepares and files international design registrations through The Hague, prosecuting them in the U.S. and internationally.

Gabby focuses her practice on technology sectors such as medical devices, packaging sciences, power generation, heavy industry and equipment, household and commercial appliances, HVAC, computer arts and artificial intelligence, biological sciences, and apparel. She also has experience in aeronautics and aerospace technologies, including turbomachinery, fuel systems, sensors, optics, avionics, electronics, additive manufacturing, heat exchange, fluids, and alternative fuels.

Gabby aids in conducting freedom to operate and clearance searches and prepares patent non-infringement and invalidity opinions. She assists in IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and bankruptcies, and provides litigation support for general litigation, IP and patent infringement cases, and post-grant review actions like inter partes review.

  • Represents several consumer product businesses, including in personal care appliances, apparel and footwear, kitchen and cookware, dryer vent and home HVAC, and firearm sectors. Her counsel includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications, developing legal strategies in connection with patent infringement litigation, product clearance and IP freedom-to-operate assessments, and trademarks.
  • Representing a complainant manufacturer in an ITC investigation concerning exterior wall dryer exhaust vents In the Matter of Certain Dryer Wall Exhaust Vent Assemblies and Components Thereof; Inv. No. 337-TA-3800 (U.S.I.T.C.). (pending).
  • Represented numerous clients on a pro bono basis in connection with utility and design patent applications filed on various consumer products, including apparel, jewelry, tools and hardware, personal care products, prosthetic limbs, home safety devices, and sporting and recreational equipment.
