Overview

James focuses his practice on intellectual property law, including in the areas of computer hardware and software, power distribution systems, process automation, telecommunications, motors, controllers, optics, and consumer products. He represents clients in patent litigation before federal district courts and the International Trade Commission (ITC), as well as in appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

James renders invalidity, noninfringement, and enforceability opinions, as well as clearance and patentability opinions. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications, conducts due diligence investigations, and advises individuals and companies on their intellectual property rights.
