Jason is a member of the firm’s Construction Practice Group. He focuses his practice on the prosecution and defense of construction claims in court or before arbitration panels as well as service as project counsel for complex projects on a national basis. Jason has successfully represented owners, contractors and subcontractors, design professionals and material suppliers in matters involving utility and infrastructure construction, power plants, renewable projects, high rise office buildings, university facilities, casinos, and other complex projects. He has obtained favorable results for his clients at every stage of the litigation process from early motions, summary judgment, to verdicts for his clients following trial.

Jason draws on his litigation experience to negotiate and draft construction contracts and associated contract documents on his clients’ behalf. He is widely recognized as a skilled advisor, providing strategic guidance in the role of project counsel to manage risk and ensure proper documentation and resolution of claims.

  • Counsel to large electric utility in federal court litigation involving design and construction of two new nuclear units with combined 2430 MW output at existing facility. New units are the first to utilize Generation III + reactors as well as the first new commercial units constructed in the past three decades.
  • Project counsel to national developer of wind and solar energy projects. Services include preparation of EPC and Turbine Supply Agreements through representation of client in end of project dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Project counsel to international luxury resort developer on various new development and renovation projects throughout the Caribbean Islands.
  • National counsel to several leading multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, and industrial owners and developers.
  • Counsel to Georgia county in the drafting and negotiation of EPC Contract for $190 million expansion of advanced water treatment facility.
  • Co-counsel to leading boiler designer and manufacturer in arbitration involving in excess of $100 million in claims related to supply of CFB boiler to Louisiana utility.
  • Co-counsel to leading boiler designer and manufacturer in multi-party arbitration involving in excess of $500 million in claims related to supply and erection of 700 MW Benson OTU boiler.
  • Lead counsel to large general contractor in federal court and administrative disputes involving construction of Central Energy Plant at new VA hospital.
  • Lead counsel to large utility in federal court litigation involving performance of new 840 MW combined cycle units at existing plant.
