Kevin assists clients in a variety of IP matters, including disputes before the ITC and federal district courts. He helps trial teams prepare for depositions and trial, and works with experts to develop reports. Kevin holds a master’s of science in electrical engineering with a concentration in power systems, computational simulation, and microelectronics. His litigation experience has included technologies such as wi-fi connectivity, semiconductor design, energy storage/management, and navigation system design.

As a reserve Staff Judge Advocate (JAG) in the U.S. Coast Guard, Kevin provides legal counsel on high-profile initiatives aimed at leveraging cutting-edge technology in the maritime domain. He serves as counsel for the Office of Rapid Response and Prototyping (CG-RAPTOR), offering strategic legal guidance to support innovative technological advancements.

  • Successfully supported client in discussions that led to withdrawal of the opposing party’s complaint before the ITC.
  • Represented the complainant in an ITC trial focused on data transmission techniques within an 802.11ax Wi-Fi environment.
  • Represented the respondent in an ITC trial concerning techniques for joining a Wi-Fi network.
  • Represented the plaintiff in a patent dispute at the Northern District of California related to energy storage and management systems, culminating in a settlement following the close of discovery and motions practice.
  • Represented the defendant in a patent dispute at the Western District of Texas related to voice over IP (VoIP) technology.
