Lauren is an associate in the firm’s Regulatory Investigations, Strategy + Enforcement (RISE) Practice Group. She represents private companies, public entities, and other clients in state attorney general investigations and enforcement actions, as well as in complex business disputes. Lauren also works closely with the firm’s Appellate + Supreme Court Practice Group, assisting clients in a range of matters, including administrative- and election-related litigation. In addition to her regular practice, she regularly provides pro bono services, particularly in matters involving veterans’ educational benefits.

Lauren has prepared for and participated in multiple trials and hearings and maintains a significant appellate practice, frequently drafting briefs for federal courts of appeals.

  • Represented a local government body in a lawsuit concerning a contract for the provision of wastewater services, obtaining a multimillion-dollar judgment.
  • Obtained a stay of a state trial court order from the U.S. Supreme Court in high-stakes redistricting litigation.
  • Successfully briefed and argued Perkins v. Collins, a case challenging the VA’s interpretation of the Montgomery and Post 9/11 GI Bills, before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
  • Served as trial counsel in redistricting litigation.
  • Served on the brief-writing team that successfully opposed a petition for an original action challenging a legislative map before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
  • Served as one of the primary associates preparing for an administrative hearing involving a $60 million damages claim and more than 1,000 exhibits.
