Leanna focuses on representing clients in class action litigation and individual lawsuits brought pursuant to consumer protection statutes.

Prior to joining the firm, Leanna represented commercial and government defendants in complex civil litigation arising in health care, correctional litigation, civil rights, employment, and business disputes. She is an experienced litigator with a strong track record in both state and federal courts, including obtaining dismissal of high-exposure suits at the initial pleading and summary judgment phases.

After graduating from Washington and Lee Law School, Leanna served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable William P. Johnson, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. She then served as an assistant attorney general in the Criminal Appeals Section of the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia, where she routinely appeared in Virginia state circuit courts, federal district courts, and the Court of Appeals of Virginia for oral arguments and hearings. Leanna also briefed and argued cases of first impression in the Supreme Court of Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
