This includes serving as bond counsel for significant deals like the $347,605,000 Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County Refunding Revenue Bond and the $546,120,000 South Florida Water Management District Certificates of Participation, both of which received notable accolades.

  • Served as bond counsel for the $347,605,000 Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County Refunding Revenue Bond, Series 2019, which was a crossover refunding that enabled the Authority to convert the interest rate on the Bond to a tax-exempt rate in 2021 and was the recipient of The Bond Buyer’s 2019 Southeast Region Deal of the Year Award.
  • Represented Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Hillsborough Counties, the South Florida Water Management District, Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Lakeland, Lake Park, Lake Worth, Punta Gorda, Coral Springs, and the Town of Palm Beach in Florida public financings.
  • Represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Shelby County (Memphis), Tennessee, County of DuPage, Illinois, Craven County, North Carolina, Rhode Island Health and Educational Building Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri, and Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as bond counsel and tax counsel.
  • Advised the Comptroller of the State of Tennessee in developing the state’s “Guidelines for Interest Rate and Forward Purchase Agreements,” significantly impacting state financial practices.
  • Served as bond counsel for $546,120,000 South Florida Water Management District Certificates of Participation, the largest and first environmental restoration COP deal in Florida, earning the national Deal of the Year Award from The Bond Buyer.
