Michael is a Boston-based transactional lawyer who represents investors and companies across the health care and life sciences sectors in venture capital financings, M&A, and complex corporate transactions, bringing valuable in-house perspective to his practice.

Michael’s practice focuses on health care and life sciences transactional law, advising investors, emerging growth companies, and established businesses in the Boston and national markets on venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and general corporate matters.

With almost two decades of experience closing complex transactions, Michael has represented institutional investors, angel investors, venture capital funds, and others in equity financings across all stages of growth. He has led buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, divestitures, complex international deals, and corporate reorganizations with deal values ranging from $2 million to $500 million, serving clients across life sciences, software, information technology, and high-tech manufacturing.

Michael regularly serves as outside general counsel to companies at every stage of development, advising executive teams on strategic transactions, corporate governance, and commercial contracting. His transactional work includes drafting and negotiating licensing agreements, supply and development agreements, service and consulting agreements, and other complex commercial contracts.

Before joining the firm, Michael most recently was associate general counsel and lead transactional lawyer at a Chicago-based financial services company.
