Moya focuses her practice on insurance compliance, regulatory, and transactional matters, assisting clients in both admitted and nonadmitted markets across all 50 states. She represents insurance industry clients in areas such as licensing, mergers and acquisitions, and wind-down processes. Moya’s clients benefit from her experience in managing regulatory insurance matters and compliance, advising on legal issues, and navigating legislative and regulatory changes.

Before joining the firm, Moya served as regulatory counsel for Hippo Analytics, Inc., where she managed compliance across multiple product lines and jurisdictions and interacted with state insurance regulators to resolve issues and obtain approvals. Her background also includes serving as assistant director in the Office of Financial Counsel for the Texas Department of Insurance, where she advised on complex financial transactions involving life, accident, health, and property and casualty insurance companies, as well as insurance intermediaries.

  • Assisted on a team representing Accretive Insurance Solutions, a nationwide collection of leading independent, niche-focused specialty and wholesale insurance providers and administrators, in its acquisition of Evergreen/UNI, LLC, from WT Holdings, Inc.
  • Served on a team for Accretive Insurance Solutions, a nationwide collection of leading independent, niche-focused specialty and wholesale insurance providers and administrators, in its acquisition of Chicago-based Your-Way-Medicare.
  • Assisted as insurance regulatory counsel to Warburg Pincus, a leading global growth investor, in its significant investment in ParetoHealth.
  • Assisted as regulatory counsel to Warburg Pincus, a leading global growth investor, in its agreement to acquire K2 Insurance Services, a leading independent specialty insurance program manager, from Lee Equity Partners.
