Robert represents lenders across a wide range of real estate-related transactions, including mortgage financing, bridge lending, permanent lending, land and pre-development loans, construction lending, and loan recasting on multifamily, industrial, hospitality, retail, office, and mixed-use property types. He represents agent lenders, co-lenders, participants, second-lien and mezzanine lenders, and has extensive industry experience in co-lender and intercreditor arrangements. Robert’s work includes C-PACE lending, mezzanine co-funding, and New York’s City of Yes and 485-x components and his clients include national and large regional banks and private lenders. He has also been active in the secondary market, and brings experience in mortgage loan sale, warehouse lending, and note-on-note transactions.
Additionally, Robert has experience not related to real estate finance, including asset-based commercial lending and consumer lender receivables financing, with transactions involving cross-border and sovereign tribal components.
He has also successfully summoned firm resources to shepherd clients through workouts, restructurings, and foreclosures (including Article 9 foreclosures).
Robert serves on the firm’s Opinion Committee and is a member of the Lawyers Council of Family Legal Services, a firm pro bono client.
