Robyn is an associate in the firm's Privacy + Cyber Practice Group. She assists clients with all aspects of their privacy programs, including an initial assessment of applicable law, policy and incident report drafting, implementation, and data breach response. Clients have turned to her for assistance with privacy and security assessments addressing privacy compliance and risk management, including assessments under FTC consent orders. She also serves as a subject matter expert and provides due diligence support for mergers and acquisitions. Robyn provides strategic advice on the impacts of evolving federal and state privacy and security laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, along with sectoral laws such as Gramm-Leach-Bliley and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
Robyn regularly writes and speaks about privacy and data security issues, and serves as the assistant editor of Troutman Pepper's More Privacy, Please, a monthly newsletter recapping industry and legal developments in the areas of cybersecurity, information governance, and privacy.
Robyn earned her J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law where she received the Pro Bono Achievement Award for three consecutive years and was also awarded the Dean's Award in her education law class. While in law school, Robyn served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Judge Salter of the Orange County Superior Court.
