Ruth Ann Meredith

Ruth Ann is a paralegal in the Real Estate Practice Group in the Charlotte office with more than 20 years of experience providing legal assistance to our real estate and corporate attorneys on real estate leasing and development matters, including the acquisition, disposition, and financing of commercial real estate. She has extensive experience in assisting with multistate portfolio acquisition and disposition transactions and associated due diligence and logistics coordination. Ruth Ann also assists with the formation of entities and filings in various jurisdictions.

• Provided legal assistance to client in acquisition, financing, and leasing of 24-site retail portfolio in five southeastern states.
• Provided legal assistance to a health care system client in connection with all phases of a $162 million monetization transaction involving the sale and leaseback of 15 medical office buildings comprising nearly 600,000 square feet of space with a publicly traded health care REIT investor.
• Provided legal assistance to a client in connection with all phases of the acquisition, leasing, financing, and development of a 2,000-acre destination resort community, including a resort hotel and associated lodging and recreational facilities, located in northern New Hampshire.
• Provided legal assistance with the acquisition, development, leasing, and sale of a $100 million mixed-use project, involving retail, office, and multifamily uses.
• Provided legal assistance to a large national financial institution on nationwide basis relative to disposition of more than $1 billion of owned real property acquired by foreclosure.
• Provided legal assistance to the owners in the sale of 47-property portfolio of self-storage properties in five states.
• Provided legal assistance to a mini-storage and marina developer and operator on site acquisition, development, and financing for portfolio of more than 60 properties in Southeastern United States and Texas.
• Provides on-going legal assistance to developer in the acquisition of land, and negotiation of construction financing, for medical office developments.
• Provides on-going legal assistance to developers of multifamily residential properties in connection with various land acquisitions, financings, and joint ventures for development of projects in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
• Provides on-going legal assistance to a client in closing sales and refinancing of multiple existing apartment properties in North Carolina.
