His previous work as a patent examiner at the USPTO, where he focused specifically on the fields of movable and removable closures and flexible or portable closures, partitions, or panels, allows him to assist a variety of clients with their intellectual property needs, including mechanical and computer science companies. He has a high level of proficiency in developing strategies for patent prosecution, patentability, invalidity, and freedom-to-operate searches.

Scott’s experience prosecuting patents spans a wide variety of technological and engineering fields, and includes analyzing commercial products, commercial services, issued patents, and other technical subject matters. Scott also has workable knowledge of reviewing and analyzing patent file histories and patent claims in client patent portfolios to be used for patent litigation.
