Sky A. Emison

Sky represents clients in the insurance, reinsurance, and health care industries on complex litigation, arbitration, and health care regulatory matters. She assists clients through all stages of the litigation process, including initial case evaluation, risk assessment, discovery, pleadings, motions, hearings, pre-trial, trial, post-trial, and appeals. Additionally, Sky guides clients through major health care insurance acquisitions, securing necessary approvals from state insurance departments.

Sky maintains an active pro bono practice, representing individuals in a variety of civil proceedings.

• Assisted in representing multiple health care insurance companies in multimillion-dollar actions by providers, including helping to achieve a dismissal in Florida state court.
• Assisted the team representing a health care insurance company in a $17.3 billion merger, creating a premier health care enterprise focused on government-sponsored health care programs and a leader in Medicaid, Medicare, and the health insurance marketplace.
• Assisted in representing a health care insurance company in the sale of its Missouri and Nebraska Medicaid plans.
