Steve represents major institutional lenders and borrowers in connection with the negotiation, documentation, and closing of mortgage loans, equity investments, mezzanine debt, and other financing transactions across a broad range of commercial property types. Steve also represents developers, REITs, private equity firms, and family offices in real estate sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, and development projects.

In addition to his experience as an attorney, Steve has more than a decade of real estate finance experience as a special situation lender dealing with transitional and distressed assets in various commercial real estate transactions.

• Represented a life insurance company in a $210 million refinance loan of a 360,000 square foot office complex in Manhattan, NY.
• Represented a lender in a $78 million construction/redevelopment loan secured by an existing landmark building located in Philadelphia, PA, for repositioning as a branded hotel.
• Represented a private equity fund in a $77.5 million debt restructuring secured by a 150,000-square-foot office building located in Manhattan, NY.
• Represented a lender in a $120 million debt restructuring secured by a 660,000-square-foot office complex located in White Plains, NY.
• Represented a family office in a $118 million debt restructure/refinance covering seventeen multifamily properties located throughout New York City.
• Represented a national bank in a $30 million construction loan for development of a 250-key flagged hotel located in Queens, NY.
• Represented a private equity fund in a $13 million acquisition of an office complex located in Dallas, TX.
