Will is an experienced attorney who applies his analytical skills, creativity, and results-oriented approach to a wide variety of business-related matters. He is an accomplished litigator with first-chair jury trial experience, capable of handling all aspects of federal and state court litigation and arbitration.

Will focuses his practice on representing clients in complex commercial litigation, including class action lawsuits, derivative claims, and other multiparty disputes. He also represents owners, contractors, design professionals, and other stakeholders in all aspects of commercial construction litigation matters. Additionally, Will regularly counsels his clients on risk mitigation and litigation avoidance and is often called upon to provide strategic legal advice to promote his clients’ business interests.

Prior to joining the firm, Will practiced at a regional law firm in Charleston, SC, where he focused on professional liability litigation.

  • Served as lead counsel for a consumer finance client in a mass arbitration engagement involving more than 100 matters being arbitrated through a final evidentiary hearing. Secured many favorable final awards, and successfully vacated an unfavorable award.
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a former board member in a lawsuit involving a derivative claim for breach of fiduciary duty,
  • Secured a significant settlement for real estate development client in a construction litigation matter arising from a multifamily project in North Carolina.
  • Represented a client in a series of disputes and litigated matters related to a multimillion dollar construction project at a manufacturing facility in North Carolina.
  • Secured a favorable settlement for client in a post-closing dispute involving indemnification claims and tax consequences associated with the acquisition of a closely held corporation.
