Troutman Pepper Locke Advises G Mining Ventures in Acquisition of G2 Goldfields

BOSTON – Troutman Pepper Locke advised G Mining Ventures Corp. (GMIN) (TSX: GMIN; OTCQX: GMINF), a mining company engaged in the development, operation, and exploration of precious metal projects, in its definitive agreement to acquire G2 Goldfields Inc. (G2) (TSX: GTWO; OTCQX: GUYGF), a developer of gold deposits in Guyana, in an all-share deal valued at C$3 billion (US$2.2 billion). For more information, see the press release.

The transaction will consolidate two adjacent gold projects in Guyana, including G2’s Oko-Ghanie Project and GMIN’s fully permitted and fully financed Oko West Project, creating a large-scale, low-cost gold mining hub in one of the most prospective emerging gold districts in the world.

The Troutman Pepper Locke team that advised GMIN included Tom RoseShona Smith, Mark Goldsmith, Morgan Klinzing, Joel Post, and Jamie Davidian.
