American Bar Association’s Business Law Spring Meeting 2026

Hilton Atlanta
255 Courtland Street NE
Atlanta, GA 30303

Troutman Pepper Locke attorneys Chris Willis and Chris Capurso will present “Charging Ahead: Consumer Financing Issues in the Electric Vehicle Marketplace,” as a part of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Spring Meeting 2026. This program will take place on Wednesday, April 16, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. ET.

Electric vehicle sales are accelerating, raising novel consumer financing questions for lawyers advising lenders, dealers, and buyers. This program examines EV-specific credit risks, incentives, and disclosures, including tax credits at point of sale, battery valuation, residual value uncertainty, and evolving state and federal protections. Panelists will explore compliance considerations under UCC, TILA, and UDAP laws, equipping practitioners to structure transparent, compliant financing that supports consumer adoption while managing risk in a rapidly changing market nationwide.
