Troutman Sanders acted as counsel to The Southern Company in a public offering of $8.5 billion principal amount of senior notes. The offering was completed on May 24, 2016 and consisted of seven series of senior notes with maturities ranging from two years to 30 years. ATLANTA – E. Fitzgerald Veira, a veteran environmental and natural resources attorney, has been elected as a 2023 Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL). He was chosen – along with 26 others – for his “distinguished experience, high standards of practice, and substantial contributions to the field of environmental law.”
The ACOEL is a professional association of distinguished lawyers who practice in the field of environmental law.
