Thursday, July 28 • 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. ET

Agustin Rodriguez and Christina Sava will explain historical approaches to cannabis, with a focus on changes to the federal legal status of hemp (the low-THC version of cannabis) pursuant to the 2014 and 2018 Farm Bills. We will review the existing federal legal framework around hemp cultivation and discuss FDA’s stance on ingestible and topical hemp and CBD products. We will also look at some examples of different state-level approaches to hemp and CBD product regulation, as these approaches can differ widely and affect retailers that carry these products.

The training is approved for MCLE credit in California, Illinois, New Jersey (through reciprocity), New York, and Pennsylvania. We will seek credit for all other states in which we have office locations. Credit for other jurisdictions may be available upon request.
