It was my biggest accomplishment, not just because of the significance for the client. The state and federal government attorneys are also quite good at their jobs, which made for enormously complex and protracted negotiations. We landed in a good place.

My practice has encompassed other areas, but my sweet space is water. I love being in the water and working with companies and clients with environmental water issues. I have always been attracted to water, so that combination is where I belonged.

I always want to rise to the occasion and not disappoint the trust clients place in us. They come to us to solve difficult problems, which involves a huge element of trust. I never take it for granted. I want them to see that their trust is worthwhile — that is extremely motivating.
