  • Troutman Pepper has appointed one of its practice directors, Henry Burt, to take on the newly created role of chief administrative officer.
  • Burt will adopt many of the duties of chief operating officer Ashley Story, who will retire by the year’s end.
  • This was the latest in a series of leadership changes the firm has made since merging in July 2020.

“It’s a significant challenge to go from 700 and 500 lawyers to more than 1,200,” he said. “Just the scale and size of things become so significantly large, you have to approach things in a way that factors in that scaling.”
