Troutman Pepper Locke Continues ACG Houston Deal of the Year Award Streak With Energy and Oilfield Services Recognition

HOUSTON – Troutman Pepper Locke received the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Houston’s Energy & Oilfield Services Deal of the Year Award for its role in representing Adams Resources & Energy, Inc. (Adams) in its acquisition by Tres Energy, LLC. This honor follows back-to-back ACG Houston E&P Upstream Deal of the Year awards, underscoring the firm’s sustained record of energy sector deal excellence.

Troutman Pepper Locke served as deal counsel to Adams, a company engaged in crude oil marketing, transportation, terminalling and storage, tank truck transportation of liquid chemicals and dry bulk, and the recycling and repurposing of off-spec fuels, lubricants, crude oil, and other chemicals. Under the terms of the transaction, Adams stockholders received $38 in cash per share of Adams common stock held at closing. Following the closing, Adams’ shares were delisted from the NYSE American, and the company became privately held.
