Troutman Pepper Locke’s Sean Craig Elected President of Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association

PHILADELPHIA – Sean M. Craig, an associate in Troutman Pepper Locke’s Business Litigation Practice Group, has been elected president of the Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association. Craig, who has served on the association’s board since 2024, will serve a two-year term as president.

The Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization dedicated to the advancement of the welfare and full equality of the LGBTQ+ community, the advancement of LGBTQ+ legal professionals in the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area, and the education of the larger community on LGBTQ+ legal issues. The association’s mission also includes promoting the welfare of society by advocating for the civil and human rights of all persons, regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or national origin.

In his practice, Craig represents businesses and institutional clients in litigation disputes, including in the higher education and insurance industries. A former judicial intern and member of the Defender Association of Philadelphia, he has successfully litigated criminal cases on behalf of indigent criminal defendants in the Philadelphia Municipal Court, including winning a motion to suppress. Craig also has experience both as a mediator and litigator for landlord-tenant and small claims matters in the Philadelphia Municipal Court, litigating appeals before the Pennsylvania Superior Court, and appearing on behalf of an array of clients in federal court.
