Troutman Pepper Maintains ISO 27001 Certification in Prioritization of Information Security for Clients
ATLANTA – Troutman Pepper has maintained ISO 27001 certification of its information security management system supporting the firm’s systems, applications, and services. The certification was performed by Schellman & Company, LLC, an ANAB and UKAS accredited Certification Body based in the United States.
“We are proud to achieve ISO 27001 certification as Troutman Pepper,” said Chief Information Officer Pramesh Naik. “To earn certification while undergoing one of the largest law firm mergers of the year with a primarily remote workforce demonstrates our commitment to ensuring our clients’ information security.”
ISO 27001 is a globally recognized standard for the establishment and certification of an information security management system and provides requirements to help companies best govern the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details, and information entrusted by third parties.
“While we are delighted to have retained our ISO certification, we are constantly looking to strengthen our security posture and ISO is a big component of that,” said John Hall, Troutman Pepper’s director of information security. “We remain committed to protecting firm and client data.”
The firm first earned certification under the global standards in 2016. Troutman Pepper’s eDiscovery and advanced technology subsidiary eMerge also recently earned ISO 27001 certification.
