Troutman Pepper Names Adrienne Thompson Office Managing Partner in Portland

PORTLAND – Adrienne L. Thompson, a partner in Troutman Pepper’s Energy practice, has been appointed to office managing partner in Portland, effective January 1, 2024.

“I am honored for the opportunity to lead, and I am committed to furthering the vision of those who served before me, including Lara Skidmore, who founded our office,” Thompson said. “To that end, I will continue to uphold our values of collaboration and service, while expanding in the areas that make the most strategic sense for our clients and the firm.”

Thompson provides regulatory and transactional advice to clients involved in the generation, marketing, and transmission of electric energy. Her practice focuses particularly on administrative issues before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, especially as they concern the Federal Power Act and the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978.

Thompson currently serves as President of the Western Chapter of the Energy Bar Association and is a current board member of the Foundation of the Energy Law Journal. In 2023, she was named to Portland Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class.
