Troutman Pepper Partners Tony Kaye and Kim Phan Named Fellows of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers

NEW YORK/WASHINGTON – Troutman Pepper Partners Tony Kaye and Kim Phan have been elected Fellows of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers (the College). Membership is by invitation only and is extended to lawyers who have made significant contributions to consumer financial services law, exhibit great skill and expertise in handling consumer financial services matters, and are dedicated to improving the practice of consumer financial services law.

Jean Noonan, president of the College, said that Phan and Kaye were selected “due to [their] experience, preeminence in the field, and [their] repeated and substantial contributions to the promotion of learning and scholarship in consumer financial services law.”

Kaye counsels financial services providers on compliance issues, including military lending laws, defends clients facing government investigations, examinations and enforcement actions, and defends individual and class action lawsuits brought by consumers.

Phan focuses on privacy and data security. Her work encompasses strategic planning and guidance for companies to incorporate privacy and data security considerations throughout product development, marketing, and implementation, including data breach prevention and response.

Other Troutman Pepper Fellows include Partners David Anthony, Mark Furletti, Jeremy Rosenblum, and Chris Willis.
