RICHMOND, Va. Christopher Stock, an associate in Troutman Pepper’s Employee Benefits + Executive Compensation practice, has been named among Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s 2024 Class of “Up & Coming Lawyers.” Stock was highlighted among attorneys in their first 10 years of practice “who are making their mark” across the commonwealth.

The “Up & Coming Lawyers” award recognizes attorneys who have excelled in the profession and are standouts among their peers. Honorees have made a name for themselves and display the determination and accomplishments that establish them as leaders of the future.

Stock advises public and privately held companies, private equity firms and their portfolio companies, and individual executives on a wide range of executive compensation and employee benefit matters, including in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions. Stock regularly counsels clients on the design, implementation, and administration of equity and cash incentive arrangements as well as the applicable tax, securities law, corporate governance, and disclosure implications of those arrangements. He also represents clients negotiating executive employment and separation agreements.

In his pro bono work, Stock advises nonprofit organizations on human resource-related matters and represents clients in no-fault divorce proceedings.

The Class of 2024 “Up & Coming Lawyers” will be recognized during an Oct. 17 ceremony at The John Marshall in downtown Richmond.
