Katie focuses her practice on commercial real estate finance transactions that will be securitized through the capital markets. She has substantial experience in issuing and reviewing non-consolidation opinions, true lease opinions, and true sale opinions for bankruptcy-remote, special-purpose entities. Katie represents borrowers and lenders in mortgage and mezzanine financings of various property types, including hotels, shopping malls, office buildings, apartment complexes, and independent living facilities.

Katie also has experience representing banks and financial institutions in regulatory filings, mergers and acquisitions, lending transactions, and general corporate matters. Her practice spans multiple industries, including finance and financial services, real estate, and bankruptcy.
