Maryia has successfully prosecuted and defended jury and bench trials in federal and state courts. At the appellate level, Maryia has obtained victories for her clients in the Virginia Supreme Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Maryia is committed to her community. She has served as a court-appointed special advocate for abused and neglected children in Virginia Beach and volunteered at the Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center.
