McKenzie advises financial service and energy clients on a range of international and federal tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and various transactions involving partnerships, LLCs, and other pass-through entities. She also focuses her practice on advising investors and developers of renewable natural energy projects on the structuring of transactions, such as the transfer of energy tax credits.
McKenzie received her Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. She earned her J.D., cum laude with a certificate of concentration in business law, from Stetson University College of Law. During law school, McKenzie served as the editor-in-chief of the Stetson Journal of Advocacy and Law, was the pro bono chair of the Tax Law Society, and was awarded the Maria G. Martin Award for Legal Ethics and William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award.
