Suyash’s practice focuses on the development, acquisition, and financing of large-scale infrastructure assets. He represents sponsors, governmental entities and large nonprofits, commercial banks, institutional lenders, and contractors in the development, construction, financing, and operation of projects in the air, road, rail, social infrastructure, water, and renewable energy sectors. Suyash’s additional experience includes delivering projects via public-private partnerships (P3) and other alternative project delivery methods (including design-build, progressive design-build, design-build-operate-maintain (DBOM), and design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM)), and related procurement experience.

  • Represented a South Carolina university as development counsel in the financing and development of an on-campus student housing project.
  • Served as development counsel for a local government entity in the development of a professional sports and entertainment facility.
  • Represented a county transportation authority in California in connection with a design-build project to replace an aging viaduct over an active rail yard.
  • Negotiated the long-term lease and development agreement with a private airport operator in an airport expansion project in Connecticut.
  • Represented a transportation authority procurement of a multistation design-build-maintenance ADA accessibility station upgrade project in New York City.
  • Represented a transportation authority in Florida on an autonomous vehicle system program, including the procurement for the first phase of the program.
  • Represented a local government entity in connection with a hybrid DBFOM P3 project in Colorado.
  • Represented city and county governments in connection with an availability payment procurement for the local rapid transit system in Hawaii.
  • Represented a nearly $1 billion local government redevelopment project in a downtown corridor with a private counterparty in South Carolina.
  • Served as bond counsel for a state port authority on recent issuances of revenue bonds, subordinated obligations, commercial paper, and special facility revenue bonds for fuel system improvements in Massachusetts.
