Class Action

We are a go-to firm for clients who seek aggressive and effective representation in class action litigation. Informed by trial to verdict experience, time-tested strategies, and our in-depth knowledge of the tactics utilized by prominent plaintiffs’ firms, our national team litigates class actions at the federal and state levels throughout the U.S.

Our attorneys have resolved widely publicized cases for industry leaders involving billions of dollars at stake. We are experienced in every major industry sector, including financial services, health care, insurance, technology, higher education, pharmaceuticals, in cases involving claims such as mass tort, consumer fraud, data breaches, privacy, products liability, securities, unfair business practices, labor and employment, and environmental law.

We offer particular experience representing consumer financial services companies facing claims arising under FCRA, TCPA, FDCPA, ECOA, TILA, RESPA, and their state analogs, as well as representing clients facing consumer fraud claims. Our dedicated team of consumer fraud attorneys have defended clients in all major sectors, including banking and finance, real estate, insurance, health care, technology, manufacturing, retail, and telecommunications.

Our class actions team is experienced in most states and the District of Columbia, including “plaintiff-friendly” jurisdictions such as California, Florida, Illinois, and West Virginia. Clients also benefit from a unified defense in parallel investigations and other actions initiated by federal and state regulators, including state attorneys general.

We aim for early settlement or disposition while preparing thoroughly for trial. Our defense strategy may include obtaining early dismissal on the merits or other dispositive motions, enforcing arbitration clauses, securing a denial of class certification, disqualifying experts, and bifurcating cases between class certification and merits. Our team leverages leading-edge eDiscovery technologies through our affiliate, eMerge.

Our class action experience has been consistently recognized by publications such as BTI Litigation, Benchmark Litigation, Law 360, and Chambers USA.
