BOSTON Ellie Hughes, associate in Troutman Pepper Locke’s Real Estate Practice Group, has been named a winner of the Connect CRE 2026 U.S. Next Gen Award for the Boston and New England region.

The annual program honors outstanding young professionals in commercial real estate who have distinguished themselves through talent, leadership, innovation, and meaningful contributions to the industry.

Hughes led two significant transactions that earned her recognition, representing a financial institution as the lender on the construction of a 240-plus-unit multifamily development in Colorado, and representing the lender on construction financing for a 290-plus-unit mixed-use development in Massachusetts, a deal notable for its complex condominium and multi-parcel structure.

Hughes was also recognized for her dedication to the next generation of attorneys, mentoring junior and mid-level associates and helping develop training and programming to support younger attorneys in their careers.
