Troutman Pepper Named a Finalist for Two American Lawyer Industry Awards

NEW YORK –Troutman Pepper has been named a finalist for two 2021 American Lawyer Industry Awards, recognized in the “Best Use of Technology” and “Legal Services Innovation” categories. The firm was shortlisted in both areas because of its creation and implementation of an internal practice management application, Engage.

Troutman Pepper’s Innovation Team partnered with Framework Consulting to custom-build the Engage platform, which uses AI to simplify the challenges of workload allocation and capacity planning. The platform helps the firm to assign work more efficiently and equitably to attorneys, so clients ultimately receive the best service. Engage allows associates to not only share their capacity for work, but also the areas in which they would like to work, resulting in more diverse teams and development opportunities.

The “Best Use of Technology” award recognizes firms that successfully implement technology to either improve the delivery of legal services, improve efficiency in internal or client-facing operations, and/or improve work-life balance. The “Legal Services Innovation” award is given to a law firm that has made significant strides in the last two years to innovate how it delivers legal services.

The American Lawyer Industry Awards honor the most exceptional lawyers, law firms, legal departments, and organizations in the country. The winners will be announced at an awards reception on December 2.
