Troutman Pepper Names Jason Evans Office Managing Partner in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE – Troutman Pepper announced today that Jason Evans, a partner in the Business Litigation Practice Group, will become office managing partner (OMP) of the Charlotte office, effective May 1, 2023. Evans succeeds Walter Fisher, who has managed the Charlotte office since it opened in 2014 and will now focus on his legal practice full-time.
“We are grateful to Walter for providing outstanding leadership in Charlotte, and for Jason’s willingness to take on this important leadership role in addition to the demands of his busy practice,” said Tom Cole, Troutman Pepper Managing Partner. “Jason will continue to build on his predecessor’s efforts, focusing on strategic growth and actively representing our firm in the local community.”
“I look forward to working with my colleagues to continue building upon our strong foundation in Charlotte,” Evans said. “We remain focused on providing the best client experience by delivering practical legal solutions for our clients in North Carolina and across the firm.”
Through a client-focused approach and strategic advice tailored to each situation, Evans helps companies in the financial services, energy, and other industries solve their most difficult legal problems when facing high-stakes litigation and government investigations. He represents business clients in complex litigation and class action disputes; antitrust litigation, investigations, and compliance; and other government enforcement and regulatory matters.
In addition to his successful legal practice, Evans is active in a number of community and professional organizations. He currently serves as the board chair for Nevins, Inc., a nonprofit supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities; as a member of the vestry of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church; and as an adjunct professor at Wake Forest School of Law teaching antitrust. He previously served as the chair of the North Carolina Bar Association Antitrust & Complex Business Disputes Section.
Troutman Pepper’s Charlotte office serves as home base to a team of more than 70 attorneys with deep personal and professional ties to North Carolina’s business, educational, and civic communities. The dynamic team provides comprehensive, sophisticated legal counsel to clients in a wide range of industries, with nationally recognized attorneys practicing in real estate, litigation, employee benefits and executive compensation, corporate, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, finance, government investigations, and energy regulation.
