Mandi focuses her practice on representing national and multinational clients in both federal and state court matters. The principal areas of her practice include defense of mortgage servicers, complex commercial litigation, consumer law and class action defense, which includes defending corporations in individual cases and class actions under various federal statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and many state equivalents.

While at the University of North Carolina School of Law, Mandi was actively engaged in pro bono work through Legal Aid of North Carolina, representing domestic violence victims seeking protective orders.

  • Counseled an international company in a multimillion-dollar business dispute.
  • Advised a large national transportation company pertaining to the policies and forms the company uses in order to comply with the background check provisions of the FCRA.
  • Obtained a favorable individual settlement on behalf of a large national lender in a class action alleging violations of the FCRA.
  • Secured appellate affirmation of the dismissal of a matter in which a junior lienholder attempted to limit the contractual rights of a senior lienholder in a foreclosure matter.
