He provides representation related to disputes in federal and state court and before administrative tribunals such as the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals.

In addition to his construction practice, Patrick also advises higher education institutions and affiliated organizations regarding Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) compliance issues. He provides guidance regarding permissible and impermissible NIL activities under state NIL laws, NCAA Bylaws, and other NCAA policies to enable entities to mitigate the potential risk of NCAA and state attorney general enforcement activity. Patrick draws upon his NIL experience to maintain the State and Federal NIL Legislation Tracker and regularly contributes to the Highway to NIL podcast and NIL Revolution blog.
