Peter works with insurance carriers on coverage evaluation and dispute resolution for a wide variety for policies and coverages, from commercial property to professional and general liability.
Peter is an associate in the firm's Insurance + Reinsurance Practice Group. He represents insurers in coverage disputes, including claims arising out of professional liability, personal liability, property damage, and business interruption. Peter also has experience defending insurers in complex cases alleging breach of contract, bad faith, and unfair competition in actions in federal and state courts across the U.S. Peter provides specialized advice on discovery disputes and motion practice across a nationwide portfolio of COVID-19 business interruption cases for an international insurance company. Peter's clients include regional, national, and international insurance companies.
He also has experience representing property owners and businesses in disputes involving claims under the San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley Housing and Building Codes.
Peter is the pro bono ambassador for the San Francisco office and a member of the West Coast recruitment committee.
While working toward his J.D. at Northwestern University School of Law, Peter was an executive editor of Northwestern University's Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, the second most-widely subscribed-to journal published by any law school in the U.S.
