Overview

Vivian’s practice focuses on resolving complex insurance coverage disputes arising under major management and professional liability lines, including directors and officers, financial institutions, professional liability, employment practices liability, tax liability, errors and omissions, representations and warranties, general liability, and cyber liability. She represents insurers throughout the life of a claim — counseling on policy language and obligations, advising on investigation and claims handling, assessing defense and indemnity obligations, drafting coverage opinions, and, when disputes proceed to litigation, representing clients through resolution.

Before joining Troutman Pepper Locke, Vivian represented insurers on management liability matters at an insurance coverage firm. Earlier in her career, she served as assistant vice president at an insurance brokerage firm, where she represented policyholders in connection with claims under professional and executive liability coverage lines.
