PHILADELPHIA – Troutman Pepper client iECURE, a gene editing company focused on the development of mutation-agnostic in vivo gene insertion, or knock-in, editing therapies for the treatment of liver disorders with significant unmet need, recently announced the completion of a $65 million Series A-1 financing. The Series A-1 financing was co-led by Novo Holdings A/S and LYFE Capital with significant participation from existing investors Versant Ventures and OrbiMed Advisors. iECURE expects the proceeds from the Series A-1 financing to enable the advancement of the company’s lead program, GTP-506, including funding IND-enabling studies, starting clinical trials (subject to regulatory approval), and achieving early human data readouts. Additionally, the Series A-1 financing is expected to fuel progress on iECURE’s portfolio of gene editing products for the treatment of patients with rare liver diseases, including citrullinemia type 1 (CTLN1) and phenylketonuria (PKU).

Meltzer focuses her practice on distressed M&A, corporate bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights. She regularly represents sellers and purchasers in distressed M&A transactions including Article 9 sales, asset sales conducted as part of assignments for the benefit of creditors (ABC), and sales conducted pursuant to section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code. She has significant experience guiding corporate debtors, creditors’ committees, secured and unsecured creditors, and others through all aspects of complex Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 proceedings. NEW YORK – Troutman Pepper, as specialty construction counsel, represented a consortium of investors consisting of Vantage Airport Group, JetBlue, American Triple I, and RXR Realty in a deal to build, finance, and operate a new US$4.2 billion passenger terminal at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The financial close of the deal was announced on November 17.
The terminal, to be named Terminal 6, will be built as an extension of JetBlue’s existing JFK Terminal 5 and will eventually span across the entire site now occupied by JFK Terminal 7. The deal represents the second transaction in which Troutman Pepper provided construction counsel to a P3 private consortium undertaking the redevelopment of an airport terminal project at JFK.
JFK Millennium Partners LLC, a joint-venture project company formed by the consortium, will commence construction for the new Terminal 6 in 2023.
