Four Troutman Pepper Attorneys Recognized as 2020 BTI Client Service All-Stars

ATLANTA – Four Troutman Pepper attorneys – Vincent Carissimi, John Owen Gwathmey, Scott Rickard and Brooks Smith – have been recognized as 2020 BTI Client Service All-Stars by The BTI Consulting Group, Wellesley, MA. Honorees were identified by clients as those “delivering the absolute best in client service.” 

All-Stars were determined based on more than 350 in-depth interviews with top legal decision makers at large organizations with $700 million or more in revenue. Winners exhibit five key attributes including their high level of personal engagement with clients, meaningful investment in their clients’ businesses, ability to get things done, clarity in counsel and successful anticipation of future needs.

Vincent Carissimi is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and is based in the Philadelphia office. His diverse practice is concentrated on counseling and litigation in the field of intellectual property as well as in trusts and estates matters.

John Owen Gwathmey, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in Richmond, Virginia, helps clients navigate complex issues around securities, M&A and corporate law. Clients include Fortune 500 industrial and manufacturing companies and market leaders in the fast-growing biotech and renewable energy sectors.

Scott Rickard is a partner in the firm’s Energy Practice Group and is based in Portland, Oregon. His practice is focused on the representation of investor-owned utilities, financial institutions, and project developers and their sponsors in the financing, purchase, sale and development of thermal and renewable energy generation assets and electric transmission facilities in the West and nationwide.

Brooks Smith, managing partner of the firm’s Richmond office and member of its Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Group, is involved in cutting-edge environmental proceedings in Virginia and around the country, including litigation, enforcement defense, project development and compliance counseling.
