NEW YORK – Troutman Pepper client Cognition Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: CGTX), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, recently launched an initial public offering with the expected gross proceeds of approximately $45.2 million. Cognition Therapeutics is engaged in the discovery and development of innovative, small molecule therapeutics targeting age-related degenerative diseases and disorders of the central nervous system and retina. The company aims to develop disease-modifying treatments for patients with these disorders by targeting the σ-2 (sigma-2) receptor, a key regulator of cellular damage cellular damage response.
