Joseph manages leasing, real estate-related capital projects, and facilities-related contracts, and operating budgets for the firm. Joseph has worked for the firm since 2009 and has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate real estate and facilities.

Overview
Representative Matters

At the firm, Joseph uses real estate as a tool to drive firm culture and productivity. This can be seen most clearly in the recent re-design of the firm’s Atlanta, New York, Portland, and Raleigh offices. These build-outs focused on improving the firm’s ability to provide client care by building flexible, collaborative, and enjoyable spaces for its attorneys and staff to work in.

Joseph is a team-oriented leader who works with the firm’s attorneys, office administrators, various administrative teams, and other stakeholders to build productive workplaces. Getting all sides to agree on the best course of action in a design or project can be challenging; but it is an important part of the process and results in a space that works better for everyone and one that produces the best results for the firm’s clients.

Joseph is an expert in his field. He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a master’s degree in building construction and facility management. He also holds several certifications, including the “Certified Facility Manager” designation from the International Facility Management Association and CoreNet’s “Master of Corporate Real Estate” or “MCR” designation. Joseph is well-versed in corporate real estate and facilities best practices, and he uses this knowledge daily in his work for the firm.

Outside the office, Joseph is actively engaged in his community. In 2019 he was elected to a four-year term as mayor of Doraville, GA.

  • Atlanta office build-out: A 230,000-square-foot office build-out serving 200 attorneys and more than 300 staff members. Focused on building a flexible workplace that will serve attorneys well throughout the term of the lease.
  • Firmwide office furniture contract: Focused on using the economies of scale form the Atlanta office build-out to both streamline the design process for future projects as well as to improve savings on future furniture purchases.
  • Outsourcing Initiative: Built a national outsourcing contract for high volume, routine, noncore functions that allows the firm to have maximum flexibility while allowing it to focus on its core business.
