Peter focuses his practice on federal income tax matters, including corporate mergers and acquisitions. He regularly represents private equity and venture capital firms and entrepreneurs on dispositions and acquisitions of portfolio companies.

Peter represents domestic and foreign individuals and business entities in day-to-day operational matters and complex business transactions, including business startups, mergers and acquisitions, business and capital restructurings, and U.S. inbound and outbound investment matters.

  • Represented WildFire Energy’s $1.425 billion acquisition of Chesapeake Energy Corporation’s Brazos Valley region of its Eagle Ford assets.
  • Advised The Halifax Group in the sale of its majority stake in Southern Exteriors, a full-service installer of exterior building solutions tailored primarily for single-family homebuilders in the southeastern U.S., to Monomoy Capital Partners.
  • Advised Pelican Energy Partner in its definitive agreement to acquire GSE Solutions.
  • Represented Softworld, Inc., a leading technology staffing and workforce solutions firm, in its sale to Kelly Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: KELYA, KELYB).
  • Advised Kofile, Inc., and its majority investor, Audax Private Equity, in its October 2, 2020, acquisition of Bizodo, Inc. (d/b/a SeamlessDocs).
  • Advised a leading provider of physical therapy services in its $600 million sale to a global private markets investment manager.
  • Advised a Korean investment management company in multiple ABS-backed transactions totaling more than $2 billion.
