Five Troutman Pepper Attorneys Named to Super Lawyers’ North Carolina List
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Five Troutman Pepper attorneys – Christopher Browning, Will Farley, Andrew Henson, Kiran Mehta and Ashley Story – have been named to the 2021 Super Lawyers® North Carolina list, which recognizes attorneys who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Recipients are determined by independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
Partner Christopher Browning has been recognized by Super Lawyers for the ninth consecutive year for his strong work in appellate law and business litigation. He served for seven years as the first Solicitor General for the State of North Carolina and is among the first attorneys certified as an appellate practice specialist by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.
Associate Will Farley is part of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group and was named to Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list. Farley is a business litigator who combines considerable courtroom experience and a practical, results-oriented approach to achieve desirable outcomes for his clients. He focuses his practice on representing clients in complex commercial litigation, including class action lawsuits, derivative claims and other multi-party disputes.
Associate Andrew Henson was named to Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list for the fourth consecutive year. He is recognized for his labor and employment practice which focuses on wage and hour litigation, restrictive covenants including non-competition agreements, and ERISA benefit litigation, as well as employment discrimination, leave, and disability accommodations. He has managed class action cases under the WARN Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act and represents employers in a variety of complex litigation in state and federal court.
Partner Kiran Mehta has been recognized for his legal work representing clients in complex business litigation and multi-party litigation matters, including corporate and commercial disputes; securities and antitrust litigation; disputes related to private equity investments; construction litigation as well as real estate and land use litigation. In addition, Mehta has broad experience in the energy industry, representing operating utilities of the nation’s largest electric power holding company in significant matters before state regulatory commissions.
Partner Ashley Story is Chief Operating Officer for Troutman Pepper and a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. His practice involves complex real estate matters including the development, construction, permitting, acquisition, financing and joint venture investment in retail, industrial multifamily and office property. The founding partner of the Troutman Pepper Raleigh office, Story also served as the Department Chair for Real Estate and Finance for the firm from 2011-2019.
The Super Lawyers list recognizes no more than 5% of attorneys in each state. The Rising Stars list recognizes no more than 2.5% of attorneys in each state.
