Troutman Pepper Advises Pathfinder Bancorp in Acquisition of East Syracuse Branch
RICHMOND, Va. – Troutman Pepper client Pathfinder Bancorp, Inc. recently announced the signing of a branch purchase and assumption agreement pursuant to which Pathfinder Bank will acquire the East Syracuse, New York branch of Berkshire Bank. Read a company press release about the agreement.
Pathfinder Bancorp, Inc., headquartered in Oswego, New York, is the parent company for Pathfinder Bank. Pathfinder Bank is a $1.5 billion commercial bank chartered by the New York State Department of Financial Services. Founded in 1859, Pathfinder currently operates full-service offices located in Oswego and Onondaga Counties and one limited purpose office in Oneida County. The anticipated acquisition of the East Syracuse branch is set to increase the number of Pathfinder full-service office locations to 12 and add almost $200 million of deposits.
